But i know a LOT of people quit because of that. The gender lock/ race lock on certain classes never bothered me because i dont play mmos to roleplay as myself, i play a toon that i control, so i dont really care if i have to be a man or a woman, or a little girl to play a class i like (i see it as picking a champion in LoL). I dont really mind breaking immersion a little bit with casual clothing, rubber/silly weapon skins, or futuristic stuff in a medieval mmo, but that was too much and made the game look very stupid.
They also kept breaking immersion pretty hard when they started adding ridiculous mounts/costumes, like a tiny silly police car, a llama mount with a stupid hairstyle, and other stuff. Crafting was barebones, i was never a fan of pvp, so for me there wasnt much to do besides spamming the same dungeons over and over or making alts (i literally made every single class and leveled it to max level), the world was just a big map with monsters to kill and that's it, no point in exploring it. The reason i quit in 2012/2013 was because i got bored of the extremely small endgame loop of doing the same 3 hardmore dungeons. I tried coming back multiple times, but i never managed to stick because i was coming from other mmos that were better so everytime i played TERA i was like "yeah but why play this when i can play ". Played until it went f2p then quit shortly after, so around the end of 2012 more or less. I started playing when the game was B2P and had a sub. So i'd like to know everyone's reason why they quit TERA. Since TERA is shutting down this june, i was wondering what went wrong, where, and when.
